Want something different in your December?
We're throwing a party just for you!
Join us on December 10th at our immersive theater for The Mill Race Theatrical Company's 2017 Holiday Thingy. We've smashed a wild holiday party together with a cabaret where you can be right in the middle of the show! Musicians, comedians, and a shipload of surprises will keep you laughing in our theater all night, and we'll even have a chill lobby area for meeting new friends or reconnecting with your BFFs.
Grab your pals and spend a night having an experience you won't find anywhere else. Our 3,000 sq ft immersive theater is loaded with club-quality sound, custom lighting, and wrap-around projections that change the world around you. It's like living inside the show.
Our Holiday Thingy on the 16th comes with an added bonus.
We're bringing in Chef Tim Monday for a catered VIP experience. From 6:00pm - 7:00pm, we will have a special holiday reception for VIP ticket holders complete with custom hors d'oeuvres, tapas, and paired drinks with the Holiday Thingy characters. Relax, eat great food, and help the theater all at the same time.
- The Holiday Thingy runs from 7:00pm - 10:00pm.
- Drop in when you want.
- General Admission Tickets are $15. VIP Tickets are $30.
- Tickets are available online and at the door.
- Due to the subject matter, the Holiday Thingy is recommended for mature audiences only.
1) WTF is this!?!
It's a party where the guests you'll meet are trained performers. It's a chance to poke fun at December and the holiday overload. It's our way of offering an alternative to sad bar bands and awful Christmas DJs trying to drop bars of "Jingle Bell Rock" into their mixes. We'll use the money we raise from The Holiday Thingy to further our non-profit mission of helping the community. Learn more about our mission at our website, www.millracetheatricalcompany.com
2) Will tickets be available at the door?
Tickets may be available at the door, but we expect the event to sell out due to the limited number of tickets available. Our last show had over 11,000 people on the waiting list, so we strongly advise our guests to purchase their tickets in advance.
3) Is this event kid friendly?
The Holiday Thingy is not recommended for children. The subject matter is geared heavily towards adults. And let's face it, kids don't make good party guests. If your child is under 18, it may be a good night to find a babysitter.
4) Is there parking on-site?
Yes. Our theater has free on-site parking.
5) Can I BYOB?
We ask that you leave wine, beer, and liquor at home. Not only does your patronage at our theater help support very unique events like The Holiday Thingy, but we're responsible for you while you're on our property. Our staff is trained to keep guests from over-imbibing so everyone can enjoy the event accident-free.
6) What's the ticket refund policy?
Ticket refunds are available up to 24 hours in advance of the Thingy. If you can't make it and need to transfer your ticket to someone else, we make that super easy via the Eventbrite website.
7) How accessible is the theater?
We do what we can to accommodate all guests and the building itself is accessible for wheelchairs and scooters. We even provide an ASL interpreter for our English musicians. If you have a concern we can help with, please let us know at [email protected]
8) Where can I learn more about The Mill Race Theatrical Company or the Holiday Thingy?
You can contact our producer at [email protected] for additional details.
9) Are there press passes available?
There are a small number of press passes available for the Thingy on December 10th, but not on the 16th. You can contact our producer at [email protected] for additional details.
