Witches Ball 2017

A very special "thank you" to Tom, Ben, Melody, Lisa, Ana, Eric, Megan, Jessica, Amanda, and the entire troupe at The Mill Race Theatrical Company in Mount Holly for making The Witches Ball extra witchy in 2017!

Betty & Veronica, our crone puppet prototypes, had a wonderful time roasting their new friends. They can't wait to premiere in next year's full-length Halloween production, "The Witches' Summoning." It'll be a smash!

If you'd like to share your Witches Ball memories with Betty & Veronica, please feel free to post them here and on TMRTCo's Facebook page.

Until next year, thank you to The Witches Ball for keeping our town spooky. We love what you do and we love our community for keeping the spirit alive.

Happy haunting 👻

Oh Lordy Lordy!

“Oh Lordy Lordy!”

The Scary Stories raffle ends tonight at the stroke of midnight.

Raffle tickets can still be purchased online at http://tinyurl.com/scaryraffle

Two lucky winners will receive a pair of GOLDEN TICKETS that will allow you and a friend to join us at any of our sold-out Scary Story performances on 10/22 or 10/29.  The winners will also receive the complete box-set of Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark including the infamous artwork that has been banned from publication for almost 15 years.

Proceeds from the raffle will go towards the preservation of Glen Foerd on the Delaware.  As Philadelphia’s last public waterfront estate, the grounds and mansion act as host for tons of free events throughout the year.  Raffles like this one keep the doors open (and on the hinges) so everyone can enjoy.

Our lucky raffle winners will be announced on Friday the 13th.

Happy haunting!

A Standing Ovation!

Thanks to everyone who came out to support us on Monday night. We can't thank you enough!

After *years* of hard work, our landlord finally received approval on Phase 1 of their Eagle Foundry redevelopment plan. You can see some of the renderings at www.millracevillage.com.

The Mill Race Theatrical Company will resume classes and performances inside our immersive theater as soon as the new foundry inspection is approved.

Until then, we’ll see you at The Witches Ball in Mount Holly, then at Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark - October 22nd and Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark - October 29th hosted by Glen Foerd on the Delaware.

A Call for help

Mount Holly
Theater Night

A fundraiser for the Mill Race Theatrical Company

The Mill Race Theatrical Company is a non-profit theater and maker-space located at 30 Church Street in the heart of Mt. Holly's art district.  We are a volunteer-driven organization dedicated to revitalizing downtown Mount Holly.

On Friday, August 4th, we are producing a “Theater Night” to raise funds for our upcoming shows and classes.  Throughout the year, we offer high quality theater & music performances, free educational courses in technology, art, and trade skills, and free access to our production studio for our volunteers.  As we prepare for the upcoming season, we are reaching out to the community to help us reach our fundraising goals.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

We will be launching a Theater Night campaign that will encourage our supporters to shop and dine at participating locations in Mount Holly on Friday, August 4th.  We are asking for participating shops and restaurants to commit to donating 10% of their sales that day in support of The Mill Race Theatrical Company.  In return for your commitment, we will promote your business in the marketing campaign and we will include your business on our website and in our upcoming event brochures.  Donations can be made by check, cash, or credit card and will be collected the week after the event.  If you wish, we can also provide your patrons with a short musical cabaret on Theater Night highlighting the acapella talents of our most talented singers.  All donations made to The Mill Race Theatrical Company are 100% tax deductible.

OUR COMMITMENT TO MOUNT HOLLY

Based on a 2016 study, theater events generate an additional $24.60 in revenue per ticketholder for local businesses.  We always encourage our patrons to come early to Mount Holly so they can shop and dine before the show.  At the end of each show, we remind the audience to stop in town for a night cap or dessert before they leave.  Beyond that, we provide free access to trade skills, technology classes, and mentorships for residents.  This is a part of the rising tide we hope will lift our community and we are working hard to keep our town moving in the right direction.  All we need is your help to make that happen.  We are a registered 501c3 non-profit (EIN: 46-3445261) vetted by The United Way, The Nation of Makers, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
